Salvation 

Salvation is a gift of grace through Jesus Christ. Appointed by the Father, Jesus took on human nature while remaining sinless. Through His obedience and sacrificial death, He provided full atonement for our sins. After rising from the dead, He now reigns in heaven. Combining divine perfection with deep compassion, He is a completely sufficient Savior for all who seek Him.  

Invitation to Discipleship 

After the sermon, we extend an Invitation to Christian Discipleship. In-person worshippers may come forward to join by Christian experience (if previously baptized) or request baptism. In-person and Online worshippers can express interest in the live chat, comments, or through email and our contact form (see below). 

After being welcomed by ministers and deacons, new members connect with the Hopeline Ministry who gathers contact information and guides them through next steps including baptism, orientation, and joining ministries. 

Baptism and the Lord’s Supper 

Baptism is a step of faith, symbolizing our death to sin and new life in Christ. It involves being immersed in water in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. It is a prerequisite for joining the church and participating in the Lord’s Supper. 

The Lord’s Supper is a sacred act of communion during which we share bread and grape juice to remember Christ’s sacrifice. It’s essential that this is preceded by a time of honest self-examination. Baptized members and visitors are welcome to partake with us each First Sunday. 

Right Hand of Fellowship  

Upon completing orientation, new members receive the Right Hand of Fellowship—a formal welcome into our church family, symbolizing unity and commitment to growing in faith together. This gesture affirms our shared responsibility to serve, support, and uplift one another as part of the New Hope Baptist Church family.  

Membership 

Membership is an opportunity to fully engage in the community of faith and fellowship that is New Hope Baptist Church. We embrace the benefits and responsibilities of belonging to this family. 

We encourage participation in various ministries, where members can discover and hone their gifts. We encourage engagement of opportunities to grow spiritually, strengthen our faith, and develop a deeper understating of God’s word. We encourage members to give their “time, tenth, talents” to further our mission of Inspiring Hope in Christ in Northeast Denver and Beyond.
